               2011 Texoma RC Club 15th Annual Texoma IMAC Challenge


The Texoma RC Modelers Club has a proud 15 consecutive year history of back to back IMAC competitions. In addition to our traditional Labor Day events, we have hosted other IMAC competitions. In 2004, we were asked by Powerflight to host a fully sponsored event. Powerflight was sold just prior to the event leaving us with no sponsorship. The Texoma RC Modelers Club Members rallied and our guests from around the region were not disappointed. In 2005, we were asked to host the Regional IMAC on short notice. We gladly accepted the opportunity and the event was a booming success.  

This year, we are thrilled to announce that we will again be hosting our traditional 15th Annual Texoma IMAC Challenge to be held Labor Day weekend. We have been told that we have the longest consecutive running event in the region. For those that have attended our events you may remember our Contest Director names such as, Wally Pitts, Dan Powell, and Charley Thomas.

Charley Thomas has performed duties as either Contest Director or CO-CD for the last 16 IMAC events we have hosted. Now Doug Pilcher is stepping up to the plate. While this is Doug's first year as Contest Director, it is not his first year of performing the duties of Contest Director for IMAC. In 2009, our Contest Director Charley Thomas was admitted to the hospital on the first day of our competition. Doug and his wife Rosie, (pictured on the right) , stepped in and took control. The event was managed flawlessly. Doug even flew as a competitor while acting as Contest Director. Since that time, Doug has performed most of the duties of Contest Director at each of our IMAC Events and now this year he is ready to step up as Contest Director with Charley Thomas as CO-CD.   

Over the years of IMAC competitions, the only complaint we have ever heard from our out of town guests has been that they hated to leave. People just want to stay and continue flying. We have always received positive feedback from our guests about how we manage our competitions. This year we hoping to take IMAC to the next level. For 2011, we have more than doubled our budget for IMAC and have every intention of making our guests feel even more welcome.

Fromeco Scale Avionics LLC is a small Oregon based company. We specialize in power products for RC Aircraft, Helicopters, and UAV applications. Fromeco has been in business since January 1st 2000. Originally just Fromeco Scale Avionics, Fromeco incorporated as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in 2004.

Battery Sales

Fromeco battery production started in February of 2004. Starting with the LG Chemical 2200mA Lithium Ion cylindrical cell. In late 2005 Fromeco transitioned to the LG Chem. 2400mA cell, and in late 2006 Fromeco transitioned to the 2600ma LG Chem. cell.

In 2008 Fromeco started the assembly of 2 new lines of batteries, the Iron Corps, and Iron Corps Extreme (A123). These new batteries utilize the new LiFePO4 chemistry, and NanoPhosphate chemistry. Fromeco handles all aspects of battery “pack” production in house.

Electronics Production

Fromeco electronics production started with the inception of the company in 2000. Fromeco’s electronics production is done completely in house as well. Fromeco utilizes our own Pick and Place robot. All electronics designs are Engineered and produced by Fromeco.

PDY Systems new innovative Lift-n-Lok tool box fastening system makes our products ideal for use by anyone who has been let down by traditional catches which are prone to breakage and have a time consuming opening and closing sequence. Our toolboxes are ideal for use by service engineers, elevator engineers, HVAC engineers, auto repairs and anyone who works with tools and needs to carry a selection of small parts which they want to keep organized.
